This edition is dedicated to showcasing how Hello Europe and our communities are shaping narratives and policy structures, and convening key leaders to take collective action in addressing these challenges.
Here are couple of highlights:
Reshaping migration narratives is critical: As we enter 2024, an election year for many countries, including the EU, where around four billion people will head to the polls, the urgency of our work becomes even more apparent.
Migration as a shared experience and a platform for collective progress: We can catalyze innovative solutions to improve lives of all by depicting migration as a platform for shared experiences and collective progress, and by harnessing the insights and resources of migrant communities.
Challenging stereotypes about migration in Central Europe: Exploring remarkable ways in which changemakers stepped forward to support and welcome refugees from Ukraine over the past two years.

Celebrating migrant changemakers in Europe and globally: Exploring the remarkable and inspiring ways in which the changemakers stepped forward to support and welcome refugees from Ukraine over the past year and half.
Hola América Festival: Bringing together 500 participants from 10 countries in Argentina, featuring diverse panels and emphasizing the role of social innovation in shaping effective public policies and celebrating the city of Córdoba’s effective standards in supporting people on the move.
Recognizing migrants as powerful contributors to society: Uncovering the paradigm shifts emerging in the field of migration.

Here are couple of highlights:
Introducing Ashoka Hello World: With our 8+ years of experience in the field of migration in Europe and Latin America, we are now on a greater mission: building systems of solutions and changemakers for migration, influencing public policy and shaping narratives globally.
Brand-new report People on the Move to uncover new paradigm shits demonstrated through examples of solutions in the sector.
Activating and supporting local ecosystems in Central and Eastern Europe: Over the past few months, we mapped changemaking efforts across Poland, Germany, Romania, Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary supporting refugees from Ukraine. Insights from these 365 interviews are helping us to understand the emerging trends, barriers, opportunities and dominating narratives in these countries. Join us for an online launch of our report at the end of September to learn with us. (Details coming soon!)
Bridging the gap between social entrepreneurs and policy makers in Brussels: In June, wefacilitated a collaborative roundtable with key leaders around migrant entrepreneurship and employment, and initiated solution-oriented conversations in intersections of technology, climate and migration. In the fall we are back to bring new voices and latest insights from our community.

The summer is finally upon us! We're excited to share with you our 2021 Summer Quarterly! In this edition, we are excited to announce that our "Hello" model has already expanded to other continents with the official launch of Hola America. We also want to share with you our latest publication and insights from our Migration Policy Unit and updates from our Changemakers for Migration community. There is also an exciting opportunity to apply for EU funding to improve media representation of migrants.

In Hello Europe we are celebrating that Spring has finally sprung! The sun is out, the flowers are blooming and everything seems to be a little bit more bright and colorful. To suit this mood, on this edition we want to spread good news and updates from the work that we have been doing over the past few months.

We're very excited to share that our Hello Europe community is growing! Last May, we launched our first Call for Solutions and received highly qualified applications. After several months of selection process, we are proud to announce that we have selected 6 new social innovators to join our network, with new impact-driven, citizen sector solutions. In this special edition of our quarterly, we’d like to introduce each one of our new Hellopreneurs!
AUTUMN 2020 HELLO EUROPE QUARTERLY
What a year this has been! Our feeling has often been one of trudging through lots of worry and work that seems to move forward ever so slowly, if at all. However, when we stopped a few weeks ago to remember what we had done, we were surprised at the amount of milestones and successes that had been achieved. And we're now excited to share some of that with you, including a few opportunities to collaborate, download resources, or apply for grants.

The last few months have been a strange and very difficult period for most of the world, especially for the most vulnerable in our societies. Across Europe, migrants and other groups have been particularly hit by the pandemic. They have also emerged as heroes across the continent: vital workers who continued throughout the pandemic, specialized medical professionals who were brought in to cover needs, and social entrepreneurs making a difference in their communities, often inaccessible or forgotten by the institutions that serve them.
